Baseball

The baseball team opened up ODAC play this past weekend, losing both gamesv to Virginia Wesleyan by the scores of 8-3 and 17-9. The Royals also traveled to Myrtle Beach, S.C. over spring break, going 2-2 on the trip. They are now 9-8 on the season and 0-2 in ODAC play. Senior Damon Frazier currently leads the team in hits, home runs and RBIs. The team will travel to Salem this weekend as they will face #14 Roanoke College (10-3, 2-0 ODAC) in an ODAC doubleheader.

Softball

The softball team also went to Myrtle Beach and were perfect as they went 10-0 on their spring break trip. With the wins, the Lady Royals have improved their record to 11-3 on the season. First-year Danielle Brenneman leads the team in batting average, hits, home runs, and RBIs. The team will play their home opener this weekend as they will play #6 Christopher Newport (8-2).

Men’s Volleyball

The men’s volleyball team hit a rough patch over spring break as they went 1-3 in their four games. The Royals are still in a strong position as they are 16-8 overall and 7-2 in the CVC. Senior William Ragland leads the team in kills as junior Christian Taylor leads the team in assists. The team’s next match is this weekend as they will play Thiel (8-10, 3-6 CVC) and Messiah (10-4) at home.
