Saturday’s Night of Worship was a great outlet for students who were looking to spend time with God and have some fun. The event took place on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

First, participants worshiped together through song, then they broke up into small groups to pray together. After worship and prayer, they played games, such as an intense version of charades. There was a make-your-own pancake time, made in whatever shape students desired.

First-year Eric Ocaranza reported that the Night of Worship was extremely fun. He hopes that Campus Ministries hosts another event like it in the future.

He felt that it was perfect timing to host the event because it fell on Honors Weekend, so all the prospective students could be included.

However, with Honors Weekend came other events, which affected the turnout that night. Still, students enjoyed the evening. First-year Glorianne Flores says, “I really enjoyed the fellowship we had between each other. I loved that we all got in a circle to sing together with the crowd and I felt really, really happy and blessed.”

Thanks to ResLife, Celebration, and Campus Ministry for organizing the event that allowed talent from students all over campus to collaborate on some great music.
