Hello everyone! The Black Student Alliance is an organization that is open to EVERYONE. We aim to be a source of encouragement, strength and support for the African American Community. We also provide a space for African American students to take pride in their heritage. While we do provide a safe space for our African American community, we also invite everyone to our community to learn about the African American culture and to celebrate differences in culture. If you’re interested in celebrating different cultures, please join the BSA!

Elections for the following positions will be held April 8th, so be sure to join our meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm to receive more information!

President: Call meetings, veto power, BSA representatives for other committees and events, officers in charge of membership, face of BSA, keep track of events  and members, runs meetings, connects all pieces together, sparks interest and initiative, connection between BSA and Celeste Vice President: Communication piece between BSA as a group, allowed to run 

              Meetings, assist in administrative matters, oversee events at times, Treasurer: Responsible for the budget, keeping track of money and spending, creates next year’s budget, manages cards for the club. Subtract money from the budget as a way to keep track. Keeps receipts organized. 

Secretary: Take notes during meetings, can email people, maintain google drive, take attendance, assign people tasks within the notes, co secretary helps

Media Coordinator: Handles all social media platforms, FB, Insta, website without access, post event reminders, needs to be expanded in some way, Solidify all social media, etc

If none of these positions interest you, we still need more general body members so you are still welcome! Hope to see some new faces.
